HowNowLite provides you with all the features and functions of a document management system tailored to suit the needs of a small accounting firm.
There are three main components of HowNowLite, as well as one optional component, as set out below. In addition, you will have access to unlimited telephone and web-based technical support, online training sessions and software upgrades.
This is where all of your firm's contacts are stored. You are able to create contacts directly in HowNowLite or, if you already have an existing contacts database, we are able to set up a connection which connects HowNowLite to this database.
Unlike with other document management systems, you do not need to maintain multiple contact databases when using HowNowLite.
The Knowledge component of HowNowLite helps you to capture the "way you do things" in your firm. It enables the centralised sharing of all of your firm's "knowledge", including policies, procedures and templates relating to how jobs are to be carried out for your clients, quality control procedures, position descriptions, reference materials (for example, notes from training courses) and marketing materials (for example, logos, newsletter templates and advertising brochures).
The Knowledge component also allows you to easily and quickly create merge letters and other documents for a single client or multiple clients.
The Records component of HowNowLite offers you the most efficient solution to your document management needs. It allows you to store all "finished" or "work in progress" documents that have been created for a particular client or for your own firm's internal purposes. This includes all of your communications with your clients, whether by letter or email.
It is genuinely easy to search for documents stored in PaperlessLite. Being able to do a keyword search across all clients simultaneously means less time is spent searching for and retrieving client records, meaning your staff have more time to focus on client work.
You have the option of including a monthly subscription to TemplatesNow with your HowNowLite system.
TemplatesNow documents are created by businessfitness and include standard procedures, checklists, letters and workpapers created for accounting firms in areas such as accounting, human resources, taxation and setting up a business. Small firms often do not have the time or resources to constantly monitor developments in legislation and standards and keep standard templates and other documents up-to-date.
